Our life is a combination of all kind of stuff which includes relationship, enjoyment, work, hectic schedule and stress. Life is never completed without stress and there are times when you will go through a prolonged stress time which eventually affect the heath as well.
It is true that stress and depression has an adverse effect on our overall body and it affects the vitamin and nutrition level as well. Vitamin, minerals and all other nutrition is highly needed at proper amount to accomplish entire body functioning, and if the vitamin level is impacted adversely by stress, it will end up with a health issue.
However, here is how stress impacts the vitamin level.
When we are stressed out, the fight response gets on, the adrenals are turned up and the digestion system is stopped. As the digestive system is stopped it reduces the number of digestive enzymes and hydrochloric acid. This acid breakdowns the carbohydrate, fat protein etc. and thus helps us in proper digestion. But without this acid, the vitamin and minerals too can’t break down and will not be absorbed properly. So, even though we include right amount of vitamin and minerals in the diet chart, the stress hormone will impact the vitamins level adversely. So, here are some useful tips to reduce the stress level and its effects on vitamin level.
- Exercise daily while you can also practice yoga and deep breathing everyday morning.
- Meditate everyday
- Eat slowly and go for a walk after lunch.
- Take some break from the work.
